Pie & Ale Festival
Friday 3rd May - Monday 7th May 2018
This year's 19th festival has is offering a huge selection of fine ales and ciders
to choose from as well as a great choice of homemade pies and food. With plenty of live entertainment as well, there’s no better way to spend a bank
For the duration of the weekend the pub is taken over by enthusiastic real ale drinkers, dedicated cider fans, devoted pie aficionados, all entertained by great live music in our festival marquee. What a better way to spend a glorious weekend than in our capable hands at the Smugglers Den!

Prince Harry joins Smugglers Den Inn pub quiz
We were delighted to be joined by Prince Harry for our weekly pub quiz! The prince, who is third in line to the throne, was with a group who asked for a "nice quiet table for five" at the end of the pub. We made sure staff did not stare or intrude, but made sure the prince and his friends were made to feel welcome.
Everyone was very impressed with the prince - he had such a natural air about him - and we're just so chuffed that he chose the Smugglers'.
